Still planning for release this year?
Still super excited for this!
This week I've worked on the over world from where you enter levels. I've decoupled levels from entities which means I can have a lot of levels in a screen as they no longer take up entity space. What you see is one biome and the plan is to have several.

I love how this is slowly becoming a full game! We now have the framework for simple quests! Here's an example where our hero goes out to fetch the Red Orb for this villager! #nesdev #jrpg #thebookofrynn
We just launched Slots & Daggers by @friedemanna.bsky.social

So as it turns out, video files are much more compact than gifs. Who would've thought!
Either way, just a brief showcase of our new spells. Any rock and stone enjoyers in chat? 🪨⛏️

ICYMI. And we are seeing loads of people registering for access now. About 150 a day. Huge for us. Do keep sharing.
Do I need to buy Tunic or Cocoon? Both are $15 on Switch today. 😍
Ok well I still love it! Haha I guess I just need to play more than 30 mins. I’ve gotten 10k which is my best so far 😅
Ok I love the game but is it considered quite difficult? Or maybe I’m just terrible. I can’t get very far! 😭 I’m also not 100% sure what jumping over the enemy projectiles does. Gives energy?
Yay! So glad to see this!!

As much as I love retro and the nostalgia of N64 games, the camera controls on these games are absolutely horrendous and drive me bonkers. It’s very hard to go back to them after playing modern 3D games.
Is this different from Flashes?
I keep asking for more pixel art horror games!
I'm having a hard time getting people to notice my game, and my posts in English don’t get much traction. Any help sharing or wishlisting would mean a lot! ❤️🍕🏝️

On the left, a field full of mushroom type enemies, showing the hardware colors the NES emits. On the right, a simulated view hopefully approximating the effects of Protanopia on the same scene. As long as all four mushrooms are distinguishable by palette at a glance, gameplay should be fine?
Hrm... I use "Earth" as my world palette, and mechanically "Air" opposes it. So I can lock earth to one strong hue, and the rule is that Air goes on the opposing hue. Then "Ice" and "Fire" are opposed on the luminence axis instead. Better? (Example is for Protanopia) #accessibility #pixelart
I’m interested!!
