The photograph shows a butterfly from the Nymphalidae family, belonging to the genus Polygonia. Judging by the characteristic pattern and shape of its wings, it may be the C-album or the very similar C-aureum C-gold C-album. Appearance Description Coloration: The upperside of the wings has a bright ochre-red or orange background with a contrasting pattern of dark brown or black spots. A dark border runs along the outer edge of the wings. Wing Shape: The wing edges are heavily serrated and have deep "teeth," giving the butterfly the appearance of a dry leaf when its wings are folded. Dimensions: This is a medium-sized butterfly, with a wingspan typically ranging from 40 to 52 mm.

🤗 we are slowly warming, I have been to the beach most of the Winter but found to many dead birds along the shoreline which was making me sad and depressed, it's better now but not warm enough for beachwear as of yet maybe in a few months!

Yes, indeed! They have never chased anyone here as of yet! My Pup Finlay took his first swim to say HI, they never flew just slowly floated further from shore! Here it's Porcupine's are the military force with weapons to boot as Lily found out resulting with 8 Quills not in deep though!
