Thanks for sharing resources. Drug addiction is not something I have experience with, as so far, the people in my life and family do not suffer from drug addiction. It's good to share resources, as someone who isn't directly dealing with this, I wasn't sure what resources are available.

Thankfully, we were able to get a generator because if not, our basement would be so flooded right now! That and we'd be frozen popsicles.

I enjoy gardening and participating in outdoor activities. I know it's not traditionally considered exercise, but all that lifting, squatting, hauling brush away and such sure works up a sweat! It's super rewarding in the end too, which makes me very happy 😁

I agree about discipline and how it shapes us and helps give us a toolbox in life. I think for people who do not have that same foundation it comes down to nature vs. nurture. You can parent three children the exact same way and have three different results and nature dominates nurture.

It just validates how good it feels to have someone listen. I called my sister last week just to cry because I was feeling overwhelmed and she listened. It's great when we can find those people and help us through those moments. Thanks for shining light on this important skill.

I think it's noteworthy to mention that for PC that towers only are more cost effective and you get more bang for your buck and can be upgraded if purchased with this in mind. Laptops cost more for less and cannot be upgraded.

My son is autistic and non-verbal. Without the integration of devices early on we would not have communication. My daughter had a desire to learn to read and write so she could text and read chat; yet spent thousands on tutors with stagnation. I think time/place/moderation/relevancy is important.

I think it's important to surround ourselves with positive people. A few years ago I realized I was getting overly critical and it was due to my circle I was spending time with. Once I stepped back I was able to evaluate and make some changes. It's wild what positivity can do and how it can impact.
