I never read Mortha as Godzilla’s SO.
I always felt like she is Godzilla’s sensible female friend.
The Elaine to his Jerry If you will.
To carry this metaphor on to its conclusion:
Rodan = George
Kong = Kramer
Mechagodzilla = Newman
Jerry’s revolving door of girlfriends = all other monsters.

I didn’t think they could top Pitt-fest as far as disasters go, so they didn’t. Instead they go for the one-two punch of computer outage on the Fourth of July.
The Car, a film from 1977 about a satanic animated automobile was a Universal Picture. It should be included with the official Universal monsters. If all the other monsters had been riding around in The Car, the Dark Universe probably wouldn’t have flopped. #filmsky

Project Hail Mary wasn’t a success because it appeals to men 18-35. It’s a success because it appeals to *everyone* — a group which *includes* men 18-35.

Tell me you never saw Full Metal Jacket without telling me you never saw Full Metal Jacket.
Bye girl. Don‘t let the door hit the knife in your back on the way out.
April 1st 2026: the day we launch three Americans and one
Canadian into lunar orbit and #SCOTUS will determine if the three Americans are still citizens by the time they land.
Men will launch a woman into lunar orbit before giving her access to safe, legal abortion.
A meme where Dr. Rabi gets interrupted and Dana says “Quiet nines a ten is talking” and Garcia responds “I’m an eleven but please continue.”
I want to thank Dr. Garcia for bringing the ‘I’m an eleven’ energy every time she saunters into one of The Pitt’s trauma bays.
Any notion that any vampire idea is original is laughable as they have all been done already. If someone else beat me to the punch on a new vampire twist, then those are the breaks. Dracula is in public domain for a reason. :D
“Usually when I assault anyone they just lie back and take it. So naturally, I never thought to expect any kind of consequences.”
…and as the forever war destroys the fuel supply, the cost of refueling all those tanks, planes and boats just keeps goin’ up!

An image of Geordi from the famous meme, he waves away the idea of “Shabby chic” and points to the idea of “shabby everything.”
Life in 2026 has me like…
The first step in creating a better world is imagining things can be better.
It’s like a little short film all by itself. They could have submitted it for the Oscar that year.
“The shots you don’t take exist in a state of superposition where they both miss and score goals, until the shot is taken and the local quantum field collapses creating a scoring opportunity.” - Waynebert Grienstein
I find a large percent of fiction writing for me is deciding what a character knows (or doesn’t!) Is it funnier/sadder/scarier if they know everything in a situation or nothing at all? Which is most interesting: if they roll a 1 or a 20 on a skill check? Rarely the answer is anything in between.
I got around to watching C.H.U.D. on a quiet afternoon not too long ago.
I couldn’t agree more. After putting aside the punchlines and the preconceptions, what’s left is a surprisingly watchable 70s time capsule and a great Daniel Stern performance!
New prediction. It's a long shot, but I'm going to call it now just in case:
POTUS denies reality during the #SOTU so vehemently that he just vanishes from this plane of existence altogether.
That’s a tough one.
In 1986, pop culture treated computers as either magical or a punchline. By 1996 every computer came bundled with a web browser and web addresses were being advertised on tv. I personally consider that time the birth of what we consider the modern world.
“No, Tintin was the boy’s name. His dog’s name was Snowy,” said your friend who was way smarter than you, evidently.
Meanwhile in the good timeline, whomever is president saw the halftime show and they were like, “Oh shit! The Puerto Rican power grid! We should totally get someone on that ASAP! Gracias señor Bunny!”
That’s what I’ve been hearing. So it’s on my reading list — just not urgent.
I’m curious about Polostan, but that Tom Tomorrow collection seems pretty fun — in a dystopian way.
A federal judge warned Justice Department lawyers that their statements on a slavery exhibit display in Philadelphia were "horrifying."

A general strike for me means I won’t be laboring for others or purchasing consumer items. We will be also eating leftovers and avoiding streaming shows from any major platforms.
- doing labor for yourself is okay.
- protesting and demonstrating is recommended.
- porch beers are a-okay.
