The smaller drawing shows a meeting between two men. One, Wells, says to the other a painting he sold him is a fake. The other man tells him he sold the painting, much to the first man's dismay. The lower panel shows a snake and Dagger emblem with text boxes around it showing a conversation between the London boss of Snake and Dagger and Nathaniel the Scribe. It explains Wells hoped to blackmail Nathaniel with the painting mentioned in the earlier text boxes. Nathaniel also speaks of his forthcoming wedding to Cecilia.
