As you dive into @compulsiongames.bsky.social's South of Midnight today, almost everything you engage with is tied to Southern folklore and culture. Creole, Cajun, Appalachian, and more. If you want to learn more about the real stories that inspire it - or even the blue paint, check out my piece <3

Really loved what I played of this and can't wait to play the full game. The soundtrack is 100% making it to my Big Gaming Playlist on YT Music too.
Me after a bad round of Arc Raiders
(at least one of these is never getting finished)
Trying to pick 5 most wanted games for 2026 is tough... Right now, these are the front runners:
1. Lego Batman
2. Marvel's Wolverine
3. The Blood of Dawnwalker
4. GTA6
5. Fable (very, very tentatively)
Halloween, Toem 2, Resi 9, Danganronpa/Steins;Gate remakes are all high on the list too.
A very good year for games! Rather than squeezing a top 10 into a few posts, I now have the luxury of sharing a full article with my favourite games of the year 🎉

27. Probs the last thing I finish this year, and what a game to end 2025 on!

Recording these was loads of fun with some great chat about all the games we saw in 2025. Please give it a listen and excuse my poor audio for the first few episodes!
26. Still one of the GOATs but now with a fresh lick of paint.
25. A really nice, clever game that only took a couple of hours to finish (although there was a few months pause between those hours 👀)
24. An impromptu swing around on Spider-Man 2 ended up turning into a full replay.
Still a great game although some of the weaker moments (mainly Scream/Venom stuff) are more obvious second time around.
23. Disappointing

22. Considering I didn't like the first game much, Ghost of Yotei is a huge, huge improvement. No more dissuading you from actually being a ghost, Atsu is a total badass and I love her for it.
21. I knew I'd like this but didn't realise I'd like it so much. Essential for fans of walking sims: lootlevelchill.com/reviews/the-...
20. Not as good as I'd hoped it'd be.
19. Bloody great. No further notes.
Surprise surprise, I loved Powerwash Simulator 2
I loved this and can see myself playing it for many more hours!
Chilling out driving the 2.00pm Plymouth to Exeter St David is a very relaxing way to spend your evening, and one I'd recommend to anyone

Might I suggest Baby Steps?
18. A difficult game to play, it feels deeply personal to the developer but despite enjoying it mechanically, the constant barrage of pseudo-philosophical ponderings and questions grated on me very quickly.

🚨Shameless self-promotion time!🚨

I haven't tried it but I check the devs X account now and then and haven't seen any update
This genuinely makes the Switch 2 so much more usable.
