As I just said on CNN, my father's parents were Nakba survivors. I don't want Israeli children to live in fear and I don't want Palestinian children to starve to death. There is nothing anyone could do to make me put nationalistic talking points above basic human rights.

Today is FOC for SHREDDER #1 from @idwpublishing.com.

If you like TMNT, you'll like this. If you like my stories of bad people doing bad things, you'll like it too.

Ghosts of the past, alien tech, extra-dimensional bombs, & a whole lotta stabbing.

I don't draw a lot of fan art, but I felt compelled to scribble this out because I'd have loved to see what @al-ewing.bsky.social would've done with Li'l Joey.

Something I really appreciated on second veiwing of Superman is they did fit in a “There’s always a way”

Side note: he’s a pilot and he really dug the flying

Success! He like it! Is interested in the Superman world now. I explained the drama surrounding it and he thought that sounded unfounded. The criticisms he had were more like Lex’s Ultraman control method felt very impractical.

Seeing Superman with a friend who’s never seen a Superman movie

I'm never a fan of EVERYONE is a member of the Justice League or Avengers books, as characters end up being cameos & nothing more, I want Firestorm to appear in more than just 2 panels & actually do something. Solo comics are having the same problem with having the hero's "family" appearing as well

Me too!

Yea a lot that was going through my brain was that if this story was a comic I picked up off the self today. I would be hyped. I didn’t feel that with any other comic book movie.

The more I’ve digested it, I’m liking the movie’s choice of Superman’s big intervention just being text. I think “show don’t tell” isn’t the hard rule fans think it is. Filling in gaps with your brain can be very engaging and the act of doing so in my experience has created good convos.

Jimmy Olsen, transformed into a Turtle Boy due to shenanigans, is flat on his back at the center of an impact crater after falling from orbit and destroying a newly built Metropolis monument. Superman is next to him, smiling but mussed up and on all fours, asking "Okay there, Jim?"

Six years ago today Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #1 landed on an unsuspecting industry.

So good

And I do think there’s still time for this new Toyman to be bad. The plot so far is that king kinda pretending to be good willed. It does just seem like some modern writers instinct to make characters more moral.
