I love the work more than the result. Never used it, never will.

To put it gently, I have doubts that anyone can write a story that is wholly divorced from the hopes, fears, influences, and context of its creator. And to put it less gently, I wouldn't want to read such a story. This is either a failure of introspection or a willful delusion, choose your poison.

Never expected to see fan art for my charming tea merchant who is out of tea ☺️☕️ Outstanding, @mukuuji.bsky.social! Maybe he’ll get some tea now, as a treat.

Reanimal is gorgeous so far ❤️ The environment has this oppressive WWI era vibe in addition to the weird animal shit happening everywhere. Genuinely fun couch co-op horror with lots of spooky surprises. 🐑

Apparently I DO have five hours to kill, and my attention span is just fine 😅 This was a really fun watch. It’s rewarding to see someone dissect a project so thoughtfully. Feeling prouder than ever to have written some good words over the last ten years.

On the flipside, it's also SH in the sense that it lacks enemy variety. But some of the enemies and boss fights are genuinely surprising.

...it echoes SH2 specifically because certain in-game choices (some story, some systemic) contribute to multiple different endings (which the game will detail after the first completion).

I do highly recommend it. Without giving anything away, it's SH in the sense that everything Hinako goes through is tied to an internal and external struggle. And...

We’re lucky to have this adaptation. So many good details nestled around. I only recently learned about the translation of the chant that accompanies the ringwraiths, which gave me some newfound appreciation. lotr.fandom.com/wiki/The_Rev...

Amazon's official statement quoted in this article is incoherent word salad, and I hope they choke on their beloved AI.

During the last year of collaboration I've been so impressed by the sequel's Narrative team and the devotion to their work and characters. They genuinely care about what they're doing, and that care is present and significant in all of their writing and design. Cheers and well-done 🥂

Many congratulations to my friends on Outer Worlds 2 who I watched toil from afar. Shout out in particular to the narrative designers who kicked ass:

Hilariously my first ending was the "shoot the hologram child" ending, which is probably the worst outcome. But in retrospect I do see it as the "I reject this entire premise" ending.

5/ The pre-order rabbit outfit is both a charming callback to SH3 and also thematically appropriate to this game (where you are being hunted by a predator).

4/ The journal has GORGEOUS illustrations that update as things get... different, and a dossier that updates as you learn more about your friends and family.

3/ Story is inferred from examinables and by using personal deduction to make connections between plot threads and repeated mentions of characters. Again, the confidence.
