I cannot believe how beautiful this is! I hope the finished project makes all the hours of sewing (and cursing, probably) worth it!

Have you posted a link to where you found this wonder? Because a lot of the ones I see online look seriously sketchy.

I love possums. They’re such derpy little sweeties, and then they open their mouths and my first thought is always “WHY DO YOU NEED SO MANY TEETH????” And like 90% of them look cross-eyed in photos, so again, derpy sweeties.

First launch or relaunch? Either way, yeah, it’s a shame Chevy doesn’t seem to want to keep filling that “cheapest EV with a decent range” category forever.

Before you buy, check whether your closest dealer is able to service EVs. There’s special lift equipment and extra training for the techs, and not every dealership did it. A lot more now than when I bought. I mean, servicing is just rotating tires, but still.

Chevy Bolt is still the cheapest option. I love mine!

I wish there was an app where you could tell it what ingredients you have, and it would suggest a meal you can make with it, and then it would send over someone to prep and cook that meal and do the dishes afterward.

I’d call it “Mom, what’s for dinner?”

If you don’t watch it with an entire drunken college fencing team who have all the good lines memorized, you haven’t really seen Highlander.

Kind of like how I’ve “seen” RHPS, on tv while sick with flu that had my father staying up with me to make sure I didn’t die. Not the same as a live viewing.

We referred to that as the WOOBYWOOBYWOOBY move. And now I want to make it the ringtone for my husband. BRB.

I learned this word in the editing bay at my public radio internship, and I was convinced it was a made-up word the staff had agreed to use in that very specific context.

These were the same people who warned me not to stand close when interviewing the governor. “He’s a spitter.”

They were right.

Two wood ducks sitting on a tree branch in a pond. The female in drab brown plumage is in front and is looking to the viewer’s left. The male is in back, looking to the viewer’s right. You can see the green back of his head and his bright red eye, as well as the distinctive white making on his cheeks and chin.

Hello, Mister and Missus Wood Duck. Looking forward watching your babies leap out of a tree sometime soon.

Photo of a tree swallow sitting in a tree on a dead-looking branch, with various out of focus twigs around it. The bird is in strong sun, so the chest is vibrant white and the wing and back are iridescent blue/black/green.

The tree swallows are back at #SandyRidgeReservation, and this one was nice enough to sit still for me.

Not pictured: about 20 shots of the twigs crisply in focus in front of a blurry blob.

A small reddish-brown mink on top of a large dead tree trunk. It’s facing away from the camera, so it kind of looks like a squirrel and a ferret had some weird baby that wasn’t quite right.

A small reddish-brown mink jumping down from a large dead tree trunk. It’s jumping toward the camera the camera, and you can really see that it looks like a squirrel where someone got all the proportions really wrong.

Excellent late afternoon of birding at #SandyRidgeReservation, but the highlight was a mammal. Guess who finally spotted a mink in the wild?

6 things introverts really love ❤️

1. Slow, quiet mornings where nothing feels rushed
2. Time alone to recharge
3. Music that feels like a safe escape from everything
4. Peaceful walks in nature
5. Small hangouts with people they trust
6. Being themselves without feeling like they have to perform

The lighting design and sound design on this were SPECTACULAR. We went on Saturday and it was really special.

Normal security line was standard size for this airport.

From Cleveland this morning: zero agents spotted, although fellow passengers were saying the news showed they were here yesterday. We did the TSA touchless precheck, walked right up to the officer with no wait. The rest of the precheck line was normal size.

I too would have cried.
Merlin keeps picking up a pileated in the park where I do my walks, and I believe it’s there. But it’s been years now and I have never managed to spot it. Some day!

Presented without comment, other than the fact that both my 20-yr-old and I saw it, simultaneously screeched, and both reached for our phone cameras.
