PILLOW TALK was a lotta fun! This romcom classic features the first superstar pairing of Doris Day and Rock Hudson. The film’s MVP though is the fabulous Thelma Ritter stealing every scene in which she appears.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! My first #LastFourWatched for the new year is pretty great. All told I had seven new-to-titles this week, which also included Bugonia, A Nice Indian Boy, and One Battle After Another. I recommend them all!

An underrated gem that deserves to be seen. BOB TREVINO LIKES IT punches you in the feels while embracing you in a warm hug. Barbie Ferreira and John Leguizamo are dynamite and it features a tremendous performance from French Stewart, who is miles away from his 3rd Rock from the Sun days.

I completely agree!

DIE MY LOVE is an interesting watch, elevated by gorgeous cinematography and a sensational performance by Jennifer Lawrence. TBH, it made me want to watch Cassavetes’ A Woman Under the Influence with Gena Rowlands again. (And even Malick’s Badlands with Lawrence’s co-star Sissy Spacek.)

Yes! In fact, the second film gets a shoutout, which made me so happy since it’s my favorite. Though BLOODLINES is now at No. 2

I just loved this. A true romantic comedy with a great cast. Spring 2025 gave us both A Nice Indian Boy and The Wedding Banquet remake. Damn right that’s a fabulous double feature.
