I 100% pants everything, and realised I had this 'skill' when, after submitting two (1st draft) episodes of a show to a director, I received the following feedback. "Don't use contractions in the actions, & write 'okay' instead of 'ok' in dialogue." They then went on to film both eps as written.

A really interesting approach! Although, I was lost at 'pantsing a draft for later revision'. Any revisions I make are minimal (usually just typos). Somehow, with my screenplays, what I write first time, is 95% the finished product.

Sorry to be 'that guy', but for me, at least, this is rubbish.
I was born and grew up in the south. In 30+ years, I never heard it ever called a 'morning roll' - just a roll - and baps were a specific type of roll, softer, flatter, and wider, with a floury top.

ooookay - I'd respectfully disagree... Each turn can take w while (with lucky throws) and waiting for 4 other people until it's your go could be dull. I've always loved it as a 2-player.

Anyway - tossing tiny rubber pigs around is fun, regardless of peoples player prefs - lol

Easy one - Pass the Pigs!

Although... There's no second player for me... (boo-hoo)

I KNOW that feeling all too well. A little while back, my MCs decided to visit a sleep centre for further research, and their main sidekick decided to get killed in the penultimate episode. I certainly didn't see any of that coming.

Yup. The best I can manage is to mix they dry ingredients and post them to you...

Yes, but as an indie author, you have to make it yourself.

Cool!
Strangely, I struggle with features. I can write 12 x 30 min eps faster than I can a 90 min film. I guess I just like talking - hehe.

Sounds as if you're drawing to a close, though. Which is great!! 👍

Pruning is progress! Congrats on that advancement.

I'm on a new episode (8), and I managed to write 2 eps over the weekend, one of which was a pilot for a new show.

What are you working on?

💯 Also, editing/covers, etc (although I do my own covers) is spread across PB & eBook, & there's little-to-no ancillary digital cost.
My 'fattest' book @ 3.99, gives +/- $2.75 margin (with the pb @ 9.99).
Other than greed, I can't understand the justification for parity of digital/physical at all.

I MAY currently be halfway through an action/drama TV series, but the vague seed of an idea that came to me 2 weeks ago, suddenly exploded in my head & I spent today writing 1 full episode of that instead.

I NEVER have 2 screenplays on the go at once, so, this is a little annoying.

The license, across 2 machines, runs independently. If I reinstall on THIS machine, it cannot affect my (cough, cough) other computer, nor can I 'force' that machine to uninstall.
It's still a good (albeit slightly naughty) option.

Hmm, that sounds dodgy Not really any such thing as 'free copies'.
Best option - see if someone will share their 2nd 'allowance'. Next best, hunt for a deal to get it for less than their usual discounted $199. If you HAVE ever owned it, an upgrade is $79 - the best of the paid options. Good luck.

Screenshot of part of a screenplay. The text reads:
INT. ABANDONED FACTORY/CORRIDOR - NIGHT
A blood-soaked ROBERTS strides along the corridor and away from the office, holstering his gun as he leaves. He steps over the slumped form of the MAN and disappears into the darkness.
Through the still open office door, the dead body of SULLY lays dead on the floor, the table leg stump sticking out of his face, and an ever-expanding pool of blood seeping across the dusty floor of the abandoned factory.

Just nine scenes and 1/3 into Ep7, and I've got two murders on my hands already (and one poor bugger doesn't even get a name)!
In my defence, it's been quite a stabby-free show up to now, and Roberts WAS getting a little antsy!

Final Draft does allow you to run a paid-for version on two of 'your' computers using a single license. I guess that's what you mean.
Hopefully, someone has that unused slot and they can help you with that. Mine's already used up on 'my'... ehem... 'other' computer, halfway around the world...

Screenshot of part of a screenplay. The text reads:
---
Still staring at the couple, who are now talking earnestly, Roberts makes a call.
ROBERTS
Yeah, it’s me. Change of plan. I’ll only be bringing one of them in...
(beat)
What...? Oh, the usual... No! I’ll take care of it.
Roberts looks up at the couple in the courtyard. He focuses on Milo, who is laughing now.
ROBERTS
(cruelly)
It is one of the perks of the job, after all.

SCREENWRITING PROBLEMS #174
When you have the perfect cliffhanger ending for your half-hour episode...
