I'm often struck how so much is made about "preparing kids" to work and learn in ways that, frankly, schools often don't know about & aren't setup to support. 🤷🏼‍♂️

So if the place we're "preparing students for" looks and functions like this, what then?

Any of my online pals at the reading for the love of it conference right now?

This was fun.
Photography class took photos.
English class wrote descriptive paragraphs about the images.
I partnered with the teachers to run the descriptions through an AI image generator.
The results were put on display at the end of the semester art show.

Yesterday I made the worlds cutest tree diagram.
I used chatGPT to make the images and Adobe Express to remove the backgrounds.

The other physics teacher at my school noticed that when you graph projectile trajectories for a fixed launch speed at various angles, the parabolas produce a nice envelope which we could tell was ALSO a parabola. We'd never noticed that before! #ITeachPhysics

Last week I used Notebook LM to analyze 600+ teacher responses to the Professional Development day we had a week previous. Then I generated podcasts tailored to each individuals schools admin team…including next steps.
