I live in a tiny town… so probably not the best place to meet people 🤣
I think I gravitate towards people who have or do drink, as that’s where I feel comfortable.
And people who rely on drink see my sobriety as a problem. Ex drinkers however are few and far between 🤷

I kinda am in a difficult situation where I moved to wales 2 years ago knowing no one 🤷
But people I have met ether have led a very sheltered life and not for me, or are turned off when I tell them I don’t drink.

This weekend I surfed, cold water swam, finished off a stone pizza oven, built a wetsuits stand, stacked a ton of wood, had a lovely dinner with my parents and spent no money…
… if I’d have been drinking I would have less money, two hangovers and whole load of regret.

I like to think of the world today as a pendulum, or hitting rock bottom. Today, everywhere seems to be crazy and full of hate. Tomorrow is likely to be worse, but that pendulum is gonna swing the other way.

I do find normal people who control their drinking or are voluntarily #sober sometimes quite… dull 🤷

I was always a fun crazy drunk getting into mostly silly trouble…. I’ve got some stories.

That’s why I like #AA, as those guys and gals have some awesome stories too

I’m #sober 5 years, most of that I done alone. Then I started AA.

AA brings those crazy awesome people all together and stops you feeling like you’re the only one in the world sober. They’re good people. If you’re going dry, try AA, you’ve nothing to lose.

Absolutely. For me I got to an insanely dark place because I left things, I didn’t deal with them and they caught me up big time. I’m never ever getting that low again 😊
