Bloody hell food's expensive though isn't it
SWALLOW. SWALLOW IN THE GARAGE.
That's eight days earlier than last year.

A screenshot showing a web page with two maps. On the left is a late 19th or early 20th century Ordnance Survey map showing Callington in Cornwall, and on the right is current satellite imagery of the same place.
Just made someone's afternoon with the National Library of Scotland's side-by-side map viewer, which lets you view historical mapping alongside current maps and satellite imagery. It is very cool indeed. maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/...
This might be a bit of a Hail Mary, but if you're a primary producer in the vicinity of the #TamarValley and supplying Callington and the surrounding parishes, I'd love to see you at a workshop next week so that we can work out how to boost local food sourcing. #Devon #Cornwall #LocalFood
House meeting. Important business discussed. OK well the septic tank is booked in for an empty.
What I find amazing is that a comparable food substitute product is actually marketed under the name Soylent, even though that is the food in the Charlton Heston movie that it transpires is actually made out of euthenised human corpses.
Sympathy for these guys but businesses need their own digital presence under their control, never to put all their eggs in one basket with Meta www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
My head is in bits, but then it has been a sliding scale as to how many bits my head has been in since forever.
I know, I can't stand Jimmy Fallon.

La Chimera is on BBC iPlayer and though I'm only slightly miffed that I paid to watch it just a couple of weeks ago, I loved it. Give it time. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002t67f
A small black and tan dog snoozes resting on an arm, hand emerging from under furry chin. Fleece-clad person in the background.

Escaping enshittified websites and platforms and backing up, and using, my online "things" feels like using the web 20 years ago before the big boys hollowed it out. It's nice.
Love @kagi.com's Small Web initiative. I think the web needs a hand-cranked renaissance. blog.kagi.com/small-web
A dog with a green frisby. It's blurred because she's moving. A cheeky white of the eye.
Search on Ente photos is uncannily good. I searched for "dog with a green frisby" and

The energy crisis is over, guys. We can power the world with my white-hot loathing for Microsoft products.
Ironic really, what the orange goblin said about Mueller, when they're going to have to install a dancefloor and drainage over his grave.
Have food stored, be able to prepare it in austere circumstances, be able to deal with a power cut, generally be able to look after yourself, find community and work with others. Got it. Is there supposed to be anything odd about any of that? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Timothy Dalton is 80 today? What?
Doing a pesto with walnuts and likely a flavoured oil to go with a risotto/beanotto, also love having a stock of wild garlic butter in the freezer. Think I'll blanch it first. That Asian style oil sounds good. Hot oil over the top of it? Addicted to Laoganma

Currently dealing with the energy crisis by charging the battery with a steady 2.6kW of solar power.
