You know that guy in Hitchhiker's Guide who went extra sane because he saw instructions for use on a pack of toothpicks? This user manual for our new carpet may do that to me.

We didn't choose this life. It chose us. And I for one wouldn't have it any other way. #booksky #writer #writingcommunity
This is why having a clear character voice is critical when writing stories.
One again I am leaving clothes behind to head home with more books. The glorious life of a traveling author! #indieauthors #booksky
A lot of dipshits are out here calling diversity bad, but I'm eating a Cajun seafood boil in Canada at a restaurant run by Persian Muslims while listening to French R&B and if you don't think that is rad as hell you can get out of here
A copy of the book Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. Superimposed over it is the text "Can one of the girlies tell me the spice level on this bad boy xx"
Surprisingly low!

This was just a few months back
The local grocery stores have stopped selling the 12 pack of Coke cans at bizarre, $12 for one $16 for three style deals and instead gone back to price per pack.
Too many video games these days are Dark Souls. Please eliminate three. I am not a crackpot.
A colorblindness test meme. Multiple colors of circles with a number inside them in a slightly different shade, saying that if you cannot see the number, you have the equivalent issue. However, the bottom center circle has no number and is labeled NEED MORE BOOKS
If you are suffering, I have a few recommendations I can provide. Most of which won't even by my own books, because I know so many good books. #booksky #writingcommunity
Describing this movie got me expelled from the Southern Baptist kindergarten/day care my parents had struggled to get me into. It is awesome for that fact alone.
A screenshot from the reedsy manuscript software showing I have increased my wordcount by 16,690 in just one day.
Not bad at all for a dreary Sunday, stuck in a hotel hundreds of miles away from home. I pushed myself today, and wow do my hands hurt!!
I'm stuck in Ottawa for work, so took the time to wander around and hit up some independent bookstores. Barely Bruised Books is the perfect used book store, if you can visit it you should! #indieauthors #booksky #writingcommunity
Hell yeah
I don't know how to explain to the people who pop up when creatives complain about "AI" to say there are legit uses for it just how much they sound like someone saying "Well actually fire is used to make bread" when people are talking about an organized arson ring burning down their fucking houses
Flag of Utopia from the Terra Ignota series by Ada Palmer. The Utopian flag shows the circles of the Earth center (blue), Moon left (white) and Mars right (red) against the black of space, with small rockets launching outward toward the stars.

The fun thing about living in Amish country Pennsylvania is that I can drive to a mall that has a blacksmith in it. But that isn't enough for all adventurers, what about mages? We need care too!

While black holes, dark matter, and magic systems may dominate the research I have done, the area I have found the most interesting is non-white hair styles and hair care. There is fascinating, and human, culture and science behind it beyond cold, stark physics. It is well worth learning.

Bring back maximalist-to-the-point-of-gaudiness illustrated fantasy covers. They unironically fuck so hard.
Plus if you raise a zombie, it will eventually get demoted to skeleton anyway. So really, raising a zombie is a two-for-one deal.
Goddamn, I caught myself dwelling on Rex Manning Day.
Peace. A life free of struggle and want.
Stephen worked hard to build Diderot, the wizard academy on the wrong side of an event horizon. It was safe, with the most advanced technology 2453 had, along with magic and wonder. But he knew he couldn't stop until it was something EVERYONE could have.
The thing is, wizards don't start in a tower. They start in a simple hut, and then the magic they produce causes it to grow. You can tell how powerful a wizard is by how massive, eldritch, and gnarled their tower is.
Spider Robinson doesn't get the glory he deserves. He was one of the greats of the Weird Sci-Fi of the 70s and 80s and now people have forgotten him. Not anymore, because you want to read this book! #booksky #indieauthors
Reminder once a month I put out FREE mech fiction set in a ln original setting. The setting is called Overclock which is also the name of my unpublished mecha TTRPG.
I do have a LitRPG series, does that count as an icosahedron story?
A tweet from Madoka Magicock @rifflexielian If people are fighting for an orb you are reading fantasy. If people are fighting for a cube you are reading sci-fi. If it has more sides than that. I don't know. I don't know man. 11:36 PM 23 Mar 26
This is what makes my job hard. I am an #indieauthor trying to promote a sci-fantasy story that has vampire wizards aboard AI piloted spaces ships. They travel between terraformed worlds and space stations, having a secret war of magic and monsters. Do I go orb or cube for that?? #writingcommunity
These people are broken inside. Prologues and epilogues are part of the book! They are part of the story, written by the author.
