Nice to get out in the garden, pot up some bits, tidy up and do some mulching. Fruit trees blossoming nicely
It really is. A Nursing Standard FOI showed 93% of Trusts employed people with 2nurse" in their titles who had no nursing qualifications or NMC registration rcni.com/nursing-stan...
This is really good news. Its concerning that in the UK anyone can call themselves a nurse and offer nursing services even if they have no qualifications, have been struck off or convicted
Fully support this bill

@rcn.org.uk Good to hear Nicola Ranger on #LauraKuenssberg this morning bringing the conversation back to the workforce, specifically the #nursing workforce. Nurses are vital to health and social care.
This is prioritising cleaning the windows while the house is on fire. Hardworking NHS staff deserve better, patients deserve better.

A clinician still has to review results from remote monitoring apps to decide if people need to be seen, the work still needs to be done by a person....

Sometimes it feels like the world doesn’t quite get gluten-free life. If you could tell non-coeliacs one thing to make life easier, what would it be?

Hmm indeed, nothing to address continuing workforce pressures without which none of this will work.

It's not a lifestyle choice or an allergy. Cross contamination happens easily.
This is happening, the pressures due to long shifts and the moral injury of being unable to provide the care they want to affects staff.
No politician seems to have to guts to plan for the long term, leaving us all in the mess that is social care. Too difficult to fix so kicked into the long grass

Investigating the investigators
NHS workplace investigations have been increasingly criticised. External investigators such ibex gale and Capsticks are especially important in cases that might go to Tribunals. If you have been directly involved please contact us.

Openess and transparency essential for nurses but it appears not for the nursing regulator. Very concerning that the board don't seem to have learnt anything.....
I have never done my DNA but I know I had to pay separately to access Scottish records. That was a few years ago though.
No government in the last 10-20 years (since Blair really) has shown the slightest interest in retaining/developing the expert experienced healthcare workforce. In fact Tories approached us like we’re an expensive waste.
Will @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social do better?
Bring back seniority pay?!
Why is this so difficult for healthcare leaders to understand? Putting safety first means your most experienced staff nearest the risk, the opposite of what healthcare does.
Enjoyed 2 muddy undulating runs this weekend, XC with the club (lovely to see @kathevans2.bsky.social ) and #panshangerparkrun with Henry
YTD 852miles - but not sure if my counting is out as strava end of year says 924miles #nhs1000miles
Great EofE Cancer Alliance Lead Cancer Nurses Macmillan community of practice meeting today. Presentations by Greater Manchester Cancer Academy & Farming Community Network followed by discussions about success over the last year and looking ahead.
Shortsighted and will impact on patients the most as this work still has to be done so clinicians will have to do it.
Corrider care is unsafe for lots of reasons, it's also inefficient
