come on man.
There is no way Jim Ryan was not the worst thing to happen to PlayStation in their entire history.
A beam of light emerges from the bottom of a jungle lake that's surrounded by lush, light green plant life. The light starts out pink, than turns into yellow and then blue.
Another beam of light in the same colors and size emerges from the bottom of another jungle lake. This time the vegetation is a darker green and a few more colorful plants are visible, including a tree with pink flowers and an orange tree.
Another similar beam of light shines out of another another jungle lake. This time, the figure of a nude woman is kneeling on the shore, looking at the light.

LRT when I open Google play it immediately recommends Kalshi, my TV has a Kalshi ad on the home page and every other video ad is for gambling. There is no way any of that should be allowed.
I remain convinced that one of the most important things the next Democratic president can do to avoid falling victim to a Biden-style vibecession is to mercilessly, relentlessly crack down on crypto and organized gambling. Just go full scorched-earth.

I'm probably feeling it more just because I know how it goes. I do think there are new things I'm appreciating about it just thanks to lived experience/getting older.
I remember this being fairly long when I first read it but, man, it's really really long

*Unfair to the Windswept devs to compare this to DKC so strongly. Every negative review I've seen of the game often starts with "I like DKC, but..." and I think there's a reason for that.
That said I think the game is fun so far. It's a case of accepting a thing for what it is rather than what you (or what other people tell you to) think it is.
None of the DKC games would have something like the first bonus level in Windswept because it functionally wouldn't work - between the camera, the way the mechanics are used, the momentum.... it's totally different.
I am finally playing Windswept. I think it's a little unfair to compare this to DKC. On the surface I understand why it happens but it's way closer to SMW and Celeste as far as design philosophy so far.
