For #ManuscriptMonday, we’re looking at a Liber de natura rerum, a type of medieval encyclopedia that aimed to describe and explain the natural world, often illustrated with detailed miniatures.
"Der naturen bloeme" is the earliest surviving example of this genre in Middle Dutch!
Over 700 letters from botanist Eduard Hackel (1850–1926) have now been digitised and made searchable.
They are helping scientists to identify and recover lost data about various plant specimens, thanks to @tettris.eu and Transkribus.

Srečko Kosovel is considered one of Slovenia’s greatest poets.
Now, thanks to a huge volunteer effort using Transkribus, his handwritten manuscripts have been transcribed and brought online via the Digital Library of Slovenia!
