An additional benefit of reducing individual automobile use is reducing the need for asphalt (a residual product of petroleum refining) and all the synthetic materials (made from petroleum or natural gas liquids) that are used in car bodies (including EVs) and the tires (tyres) they run on.

Meanwhile, Tuapse oil terminal is still burning. It's a massive facility including the refinery component, but without air defense the Ukrainians can keep beating on it until it's completely destroyed.
