Sky of the day
Sky of the day. Same view but this time with an (invisible) Ceti’s warbler. Spring is here!
Sky of the day. It’s that special time of the year when my morning walk starts to take place in the light. The almost cloudless sky helps as well!
Thank you Maren!

“The Asda” are you Sally, by any chance, originally from Liverpool?
Oh my goodness. That will be it then.
The first time I’ve had a shout out at an inaugural. Thank-you @jacpotter.bsky.social for inviting me and @lawriephipps.bsky.social to share your special evening. So much food for thought, followed by excellent food and conversation with @osullih.bsky.social and @lauramilne.bsky.social
Hmm doesn’t ring a bell. It was definitely in Heidelberg.
Fantastic evening at for me and @heathersears.bsky.social at @jacpotter.bsky.social inaugural, and catching up with @osullih.bsky.social and @lauramilne.bsky.social.
Now sat thinking about the 9.3%….
Sky of the day. Doesn’t the big kid in all of us love a snowy day?
Sky of the day at the end of a fabulous week. Started at the @wonkHE Festival of Higher Education ended with the joint UUK and AdvanceHE DVC Network. Fabulous examples of the sector coming together to find solutions for the current issues facing HE.
Thanks, Simon. I agree with this, but we are seeing the word "learner" used to describe people registered on formal qualifications—people on level 7 degree apprenticeships are formally described as learners.
Sky of the day. Little egrets making the most of the post high tide pools.
Morning Bluesky! I am doing some policy work at the moment and want a word to describe anyone in receipt of post-compulsory education. The favoured word seems to be "learner" but I wonder why "student" has gone out of fashion? FE and apprentices even at level 4 - 7 now seem to be "learners".
I’ve literally just had a can of m and s Gin and tonic and a little snack back of olives and cheese while I waited for my train at Euston. Not just a delight for the North American!
It was very warm!
Sky of the day
I watched Sherwood last. I think I’d be ok with all those badass women in my corner.
Sky of the day. We are welcoming our first cohort to our of Graduate Entry Medical programme this morning. The culmination of many years of hard work in Chester Medical School and, for the 65 students starting today, the beginning of an exciting and life changing journey.

@wonkhe.bsky.social Looking forward to the Festival of Higher Education. I need a new pair of rowing socks.
Sky of the day. This is usually a path. It’s a bit early in the year to have to divert my walking route to take account of flooding.
Sky of the day - it’s a bit breezy this morning! Feeling very energised after #altc24 and UUK Day Two. I always love catching up with friends from across the sector and even felt a tiny bit optimistic that things might get a little better.
