This just appeared in my timeline and made me worry for my lovely pal in Stockport, whom I stayed with for #ALTC24. The bus route between her house and the airport that I used each day for the conference is currently under water 😮 Luckily she's not badly affected, hope other folk in that area are OK

Some really interesting thoughts on conference venues. For me, the convenience of the venue for #ALTC24 this year was a major decision factor to attend in person. Being able to fly in and out, and no travel on the other side, made it so much easier to just be there.

What a week it's been, I left home a week ago to #ALTc #ALTc24, technically without a job. I have returned home with 3 new pieces of hardware and a whole lot of of good memories. @altuk.bsky.social and its members have played an important part in my development in the last 5 years. 😊
