Lovely to listen to the wisdom of @clentonf.bsky.social at the start of Day 2 with @commcats.bsky.social
We are with 100+ colleagues and activists at The Catalyst Newcastle University, getting visionary and practical about building neighbourhoods that enable Living Well.
At our @commcats.bsky.social event with the Nat Centre for Ageing at @newcastleuni.bsky.social David Robinson talks about the centrality of relationships to public services and many other areas of life. This led to his cofounding relationshipsproject.org
👉NEW #HLINblog!
Ahead of #HLINconf26, Nick Sinclair (Community Catalysts) shares four powerful stories, highlighting the impact of trust, time, strengths-based practice and the “relational buffer” of Local Area Coordination.

Really loved this session. So much powerful, well informed challenge. So much focus on dignity and human sized responses with a good sprinkle of coproduction. THANK YOU

Customer Service (sic). Why oh why oh why is everything so difficult and time consuming. Feel sure companies are saving money with 'press 1' 'do what's app' 'live chat' bots and overseas call centres with scripts. BUT has anyone analysed the actual cost...to people and productivity!!?? 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Today's news makes me strangely proud to be British
Just watched The Librarians on BBC I player. Really recommend. Affecting. Might be one for you @mrjamesob.bsky.social 😐
I just signed up to @thenerve.news ...drawn by the splendid @carolecadwalla.bsky.social and a promise of light being shone in dark places. In the welcome email I was struck by 'have nerve! Courage is contagious'. Seems so relevant for our work @ WIGO and Social Care Future @mroutled.bsky.social ?
HI @skourkos.bsky.social and welcome to BlueSky 👋

Good morning. Let's make a collective resolution: this will be the year in which we start to turn things round.
Thank you @london.gov.uk ...a welcome message of hope, unity, positivity and strength in diversity. All that makes our country amazing. We need this right now...loud. London leading the way #newyearlondon
My sector is social care & community. A plea to @zackpolanski.bsky.social & the Green Party to respect & value everyone in my world & get creative. We need to think hard about (& plan for) our future selves. Us not them. Lives not bums!
Think social care and say '. Each is a person. And how we treat them (and talk about them and the help that they need) tells us everything about the kind of country we are choosing to be." Please please please
Respectfully I really wish the @greenparty.org.uk and @zackpolanski.bsky.social especially would look at social care from the exact same perspective - with the same respect for every person who draws on it. All individuals with hopes & dreams & challenges. Sometimes in crisis but never a crisis.
@mrjamesob.bsky.social
Sometimes the 'official' easyread versions of government documents and guidance are the best versions...for all of us...they cut to the chase imho 🙂 . Hope you find what you need
Most of the public think net migration increased last year, when in fact numbers halved.
New findings from the Ipsos/British Future Immigration Attitudes Tracker show that 56% of the public thinks immigration increased last year. Just 1 in 6 realise it was down
