One take home message from this week meetings: the attacks on Canada are not supported by many Great Lakes elected officials- and thank you for making this clear.
I’m excited to take part in an Water Watchers webinar on March 3, where I’ll share insights on the current state of the Great Lakes and why better road salt management is critical for protecting freshwater ecosystems.

This winter has been a real one to date for the ice cover of the Great Lakes that has reached about 40% today. The champion is Lake Erie (95%) while Lake Ontario is at about 20%.
Ice plays critical roles (ecology, erosion, weather etc..) for this region.
