And she is by far one of my favorite amazing, wonderfully weird people I have met and known in this world.

A man is soaking in a white bathtub full of herbal tea bags, as the scene around him becomes a surreal landscape of mint leaves and striped peppermint candy. Leaves are sprouting from the water and the shower head is turning into a mint plant with a mint candy flower. This is an acrylic painting.

I am thrilled to (and allowed to!) share a piece I worked on for a dear friend and mentor of mine's book. I've known about this project since 2009 and have been riding along watching things happen!

Dawn's style is both light and unhinged
Small acrylic marker painting in canvas. A coyote in shades of purple and blue sits between two red rock bluffs with its head up, nose pointed at a gold - rimmed sun with an orange and pink sky.

This one took me a while. Having a limited selection of colors makes these tricky
A soda can root beer / birch beer parody referencing several popular brands. The logo is stylized like A&W, but stretched to say AWeBO with the E in the place of the usual ampersand. The background of the can is a faint birch bark print. There is a white ribbon wrapping around the logo and the mascot at the bottom in the fashion of the older barq's root beer cans with the illustrated styling. Flavor text on the ribbon reads, from top to bottom: "100% for birb" , "IT GUD!", "BURCH BEER." At the bottom of the can is the mascot, a willow ptarmigan, facing left and looking up, beak open in an excited smile.
ovo Awebo! Burch beer for birb, by burb!
Planning to have stickers and tumblers of this with me at FWA - more soon!

A vibrant pink bird perched in pink apple blossoms with a soft pink and blue background.
Apple Blossom Birdflower. I used to paint lots of birdflowers, and the vibrant pink blooms in my yard inspired me to paint this one.

A square format oil painting of a bronze-winged pionus. She is sitting with her back to us, in a sunbeam, reaching under her right wing to preen. She is iridescent and multicolored with rich blues, bronzes, greens, and grey colors. A hunk of petrified wood with a rich array of blue grey, white, and tan streaks is the parrot's perch. A messy halo of caustic light surrounds her. The painting has an artist's watermark that reads Copyright 2026 Jennifer Miller Nambroth, featherdust dot com
A cropped detail close-up of the prior image. The brush strokes are more obvious in this close-up.

He’s a very polite, spooky man

A flaming canine skull, wearing a suit, hands posed calmly. He is magical and this doesn't hurt him. This is a colored pencil drawing on black paper.
Running on deeply not enough sleep this week between a mix of personal issues, and a raccoon deciding our yard has the best chicken, please hold while the boar reboots, I am deeply none brains right now

Sliding gracefully into middle-age by sewing m̶y̶s̶e̶l̶f̶ Leto a quilt.
1400+ pieces, all from various hoodie and kigu projects over the last few years. It is a reminder of and a tribute to how grateful I am that I get to make art for a living 💙
This is so beautiful! Your color choices and how you laid them out is absolutely stunning. I am always in awe of quilting, there is so much precision and care and time in it.

Oh no they are very crunchy
About a dozen wooden pins of a skull faced coyote in a chunky, blocky style. There is a bee pin in the background labeled with the letter b.
A handful of tiny coyotes
It looks great!! I remembered my own frustration of wood vs alcohol marker and was about to go full Infomercial on the joys of Clear Gesso. It’s just a bit rough on marker tips and a 5 second sand job makes everything easier, but it stops any bleeding into the grain.
Also this is gorgeous!!
My “I can help!” Outran my brain
Ooh! Mind if I send you a tip/trick for this? If you can physically handle a small amount of sanding to make it work with marker.
Exactly that!
You never realize how much music has the distinct "baby chick cheep" sound until you have a dozen of them in your house and it suddenly sounds suspiciously like one of them is at the top of the stairs to the office and things are about to get -exciting-
Shoutout to my not-birder wife who is amazing and says “peent” even if I’ve already shown her 7 funny little Timberdoodle pictures this morning from the internet
That makes me so happy! I knew it sold but could not remember where, and hearing my art is up in a house makes me so happy
It’s #tdov and I don’t feel visible.
I don’t feel seen, safe or thriving.
But I’m still here and that counts for something.
A unicorn moose prancing holding a trans pride flag. This is an acrylic painting on wood.
Still here, still doing my thing, still happy to see you all here too
Happy Trans Day of Visibility!
I came out so long ago some folks don't know it, but I am an intersex trans man. I took my gender and future into my own hands in 2011 and I'm still here, still making things, and very happy for the journey.
A neutrally colored dragon under the ocean, which is deep blue, watching a message in a bottle drift by. This is an acrylic painting on wood.
