This democratizing trend has to be improved & maintained, but lessons also have to be learned. Much remains to be done as regards cooperation between the #EuropeanParliament and #nationalparliaments to strengthen the multilevel EU representative democracy. 🎥 Recording will be available soon.
Great discussion on the complex power-play of democratic actors in the multilevel political system of the #EU. We agreed that despite all the criticism which #CoFoE has rightly received (read our book) it marked a turning point in the way the EU views #citizens' involvement in EU policy-making.
