Extraordinary!
A really exciting opportunity! 😍
It could be possible. But I'm they have not inventes writting yet and we would not know the language anyway.
Thank you so much! I will try to post more interesting pics often. Most of them were taken years ago.
Impressive!
The cave was inhabited for around 25,000 years, and even the cave paintings show changing styles and motifs over time.
The horses in these paintings are about 14,000 years old.
I finally visited Tito Bustillo Cave.
For our eyes, a purple horse might not stand out much, mainly because we’re used to modern art. But modifying nature like this was not common even 150 years ago—so this kind of representation was a significant creative step at the time.

Absolutely. We don't know if they carried it or went back for it later on. One thing for sure? It had to be red.
They seem ti have leave in another cave near by (10 minutes walk). That cave was not adecuate for living. Any tiny fire for lightinh would have sophocated them.
Absolutely!
It could be! But it looks more as scenes of a story of sudden danger.
You can visit them. You can find them in many locations around the world!
I definitely must go soon!
I have been planning a trip there for several decades...Hopefully I will go this Autumn. I will look for the octopus. This one was in Madrid Museum of Archeology...

This is an awesome photo!
Wonderful jar!
It must a have been an area they relocated to. And this cave was used for a single ritual.
The cave contains 18 female deer, one male deer, one horse, and one bull. The cave’s natural iron oxide is mostly orange, so the artists brought red pigment from another location around 30 km away. These images are photos of a photos displayed at the reception
Impressed by the Cave of Covalanas (Spain), which I visited today. These prehistoric paintings seem to tell stories, probably linked to rituals or beliefs. They never lived inside this cave—it was likely a special place used for symbolic purposes.

It can be seen at the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid.
The Great Lady Offerant, a pre-Roman Iberian limestone sculpture from the 3rd century BC.
Found at the Sanctuary of Cerro de los Santos (Albacete), she is shown presenting an offering, with remarkable detail in her clothing, jewelry and ceremonial dress.

Absolutely!
Home decoration nearly 1,800 years ago: a Roman mosaic with an octopus, now displayed at the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid.
Found in Villaquejida (León, Spain) and dated to the 2nd–3rd century CE.

This decorated warrior stela stood near the one I posted earlier.
The slab shows a stylized human figure with weapons and personal items. Typical of the Late Bronze Age in southwestern Iberia.

Next time try to visit El Castillo Cave. You can enter the original one. Probably oldest paintings in Europe. Near Santander. Other interesting cave is called El Pendo.
I study about this in school. It was impressive to see it in person many decades later!
