I'm sure it will evolve as I start using the system, but happy to take any suggestions and incorporate if you see any glaring gaps.. :)

@wcmartell.bsky.social I'm thinking of creating a process to capture many of your methods (and some of my own) in an @obsidian.md vault starting with the idea bins.

Thank you for this peek in.
I got my answers and a bit more from this thread.

1) Assignment doesn't get a bin, it's a scramble.
2) Practicing daily to get fixed output helps scramble efficiently.
3) Assignments are more of a gap-filling exercise.
4) Bins: Ideas, Dialogues, Action, Character.

okay, quick refresher then..

you were talking about often having to meet a particular number of pgs/day to meet an assignment deadline ..

so my question was around how you manage idea bins with assignments (and looming deadlines)

do you have any tools to bin fill?
(eg; ai helps me make lists)

@wcmartell.bsky.social curious how fast you fill those bins? (context: tip387, not some kink)

5 pages a day, 6 weeks for a decent first draft, tracks for me for specs, because bins have been filling.

When it’s an assignment, do you allow a bin buffer period? How do you manage?

Seems backwards that my journey with films that I worked on with Dharma & Netflix goes from Guilty to Accused. #Netflix #Dharma

Been doing a Scream binge from 1 to 6, making note of motives, red herrings, characters in relation to thematic question. Conclusion: There are solid reasons why the original still holds the top spot. It’s the most thought out. #scream

Thank you. It’s probably a red tape thing internally at Amazon, but I’m sure a nudge might help.

Seems like a regional restriction.
It’s not available in Audible India 🇮🇳

Are there any plans for an audible?

I think I’d read that there was. I was wondering (hoping) it’s in the near-ish future.

I remember watching some episodes of The Saint because my dad conned me into thinking these were unofficial stories with Roger Moore playing 007. It’s much later that I learned the truth.

Reacher vs Luke Cage
I’d watch that.

Self-reflection. As opposed to alter-ego reflection, or alternate universe reflection? or would that be refraction? Bah, point is.. Look at your own puddle of blood, water and tears. Then throw a pebble into it. Don’t forget to ‘gram it. 🤳🏼

People that call without announcing themselves prior are the heights of inconsiderate. Please, drop dead. ☠️

My phone is for my convenience, not yours. Sorry, but it’s live and let live or this. No happy medium. No purgatory. Just a deep hell of ringing hurt.

Yes. It bothers me that much.

A ★★★½ review of No Other Choice (2025) Way more amusing than I was expecting from the premise. Glad for it. A bundle of quirky fun. This is social satire done right. The childlike thinking of the protagonist resonated. Pretty layered and e...

how have I been is a far more complex question than the simplicity of those words.. if i was to surmise, i’ve taken your handle and made it my vocation.. and am optimistic that this new year will be more giving than the last couple have been.. ✌️😬🤞

hello hello! *tips-hat* good to see a familiar face. They crop up here.. it’s not quite the same as the “great” days but it’s a start.. I feel we lost a lot of good people along the way and are now in a digital post apocalyptic world, with refugees scattered across the web unsure of their home.

I feel she was a good actress, that chose to aim for stardom but ignored or chose not to listen to what the audience wanted of her. Much like Nawaaz, a victim of self-appointed stardom. It doesn’t hold unless the audience wants you there, which you have to earn with time and luck. 🍀

Rick-rolled in 2025. Maybe the internet’s still got some juice left.

‘Twas just the Easter egg in that Easter Xmas film we needed! A sign of hope and faith that the cyberdyne skynets haven’t defeated us yet.

We live to die another day, to live free and die hard… to.. bah.. you get the drift..
