Yes! There's so much potential in that neighborhood for being walkable and bikeable that is going to waste.
I myself have often been in danger when on my bike on Sheridan.
Especially with how geriatric Amherst & wmsvl are, would love to see some love put into keeping pedestrians & cyclists safe

I've been thinking a lot about moving out from my current place.
I think the next area i'd like to live in would be between North Forest and Klein. Ideally within walking distance of the Dash's on W Klein and the Clearfield library.
I knew it was bad in Florida, but as of late I've been meeting all these people that grew up there that clearly have undiagnosed developmental or learning or reading disabilities.
Profound educational injustice has been happening there for decades.
By coincidence, saw a psychologist make a little video and repeat "ineptitude is harm" to get her point across.
So accurate
Trying to navigate life with someone that doesn't understand that screwing up or feeling uncomfortable means looking into how one changes their behavior and outlook on life is incredibly difficult.
No one becomes an adult without embracing discomfort, mistakes, and recognizing personal faults
⚠️ The NWS has issued a FLOOD WATCH for all of Erie County.
Multiple rounds of showers, including thunderstorms, are expected through Tuesday night. Flooding is possible.
Use caution and don't underestimate the power of water. Remember, turn around, don't drown!
Alright y’all this is a small thing but an easy one

A) As stated by several folks, this is AI.
B) There are a lot of people who now put animals in dangerous situations so it looks as if they are being rescued for content. So much 'heartwarming' content is created for clicks
MINNEAPOLIS UPDATE:
ICE presence is way down compared to the peak of the surge but they’re still out there. They’re still also engaging in what I think is their most loathsome tactic, lurking near schools.
Observers are still put in force. Heroes working day and night, even as ICE tactics evolve.
The design and lighting on the clock remind me of one of my favorite book covers by Kinuko Craft. She did a cover for a 1991 print of Outlander that i obsessed over
I hope people are waking up to the fact that #Buffalo being cold is an advantage, not a disadvantage.
As someone who minimized my carbon footprint as much as is possible in the US (moved to a city with public transit, don't buy fast fashion, minimal to no home delivery etc), it's such a stark reminder that individual action would never have been enough.
Climate change is not coming. It's here
🌞SOLAR POWER🌞
Regulations need to be relaxed so panels can be made cheaper here in the US. We cannot fossil fuel our way to satisfy the electricity demand of the future. Home owners should retrofit with 🌞solar to reduce electricity bill. 🌞Solar mandated in all new construction should be the norm.
AOC: We rely on hundreds of thousands of home care workers across the country. This labor force is going to expand a lot as more of our parents reach older age, and these folks need to be paid a fair wage.
These are some of the most exploited workers in the country.
I know, we all love the fantasy of staying and fighting.
But if you have any way to get a Canadian, Irish, Spanish etc citizenship, do it now. Do not delay.

this further illustrates the @egoldwyn.bsky.social & @ndhapple.bsky.social thesis behind the Better Billion subway extension plan that going from car->transit has a significantly greater affordability benefit than going from $3 fare->free fare
This is a WIN for science.
RFK Jr’s overhaul of vaccine recommendations has been BLOCKED by a federal court. The ACIP committee cannot meet as planned this week, since its membership has been invalidated, and ALL votes made by those advisers in the last year have also been invalidated.
If the computer is a prosthetic (and it is) then this means we legitimately have to be careful about what software we run, because we are deciding what to make part of our selves, part of our minds
There’s something to be said about thinking seriously about traditions, and keeping some things that are achronistic. Christmas trees, parades, feast days, whatever.
But some “tradition” is straight up abuse, and needs to be burned with fire.
we need everyone to come help us get the big boats past our historically vanquished enemy pls right now very urgent they’re blowing them up oh fuck
Given lit trends, I'm rebranding my book as smut. It's about the romance of salmon, who navigate oceans & rivers to fuck & perish. It's about the sensuous slithering of lamprey; the orgiastic joy of herring; the bondage of male anglerfish. Cover art depicts a bull shark in a bodice. Ichthyoerotica.
this is still the realest thing ever said about america
A Dutch lock is closed for the spring, and its employees want you to tell them when migrating fish come knocking by ringing a digital doorbell
Compassionate pto donation program- to support a team member
Job from a local senior living center advertising that you can guilt your coworkers into giving you their pto and vice versa.
Instead of, you know, hiring enough staff so that is not necessary
Having a situation in our home/neighborhood that is such a good example of how easy it is to fall into animal hoarding situations, driven by good intentions.
People think kittens are cute until the population and disease explode out of control. Saw it multiple times as a volunteer at the SPCA
ICE is STILL in Minnesota and STILL terrorizing communities. Reporters that say otherwise are either uninformed (which....) or lazy (which... ) or just repeating regime lies (which... is also extremely bad).
People are still missing, people are and will be traumatized, businesses demolished...
