I am still salty about publishers doing calls for “Asian” stories but specifically excluding central and west Asian authors from their criteria.

Asia: the continent with no geographic west or centre 🫠

I really try and fundamentally don't judge people for still using "Middle Eastern" or "MENA" instead of the more progressive "West Asian" and "SWANA" but man.....knowing *everything* we know now and our need to actively disassociate from the Orientalist framework I truly think more people should.

Ya’ll, I took the new train into Seattle, and met another trans girl who was also excited about the fact that we have the world’s first (technically second) train on a floating bridge and my wife called it the Trains Day of Visibility.
