Today, Year 1 became real life environmental heroes today! This was a lovely end point inspired by our English text ‘Stella and the Seagull’ by Georgina Stevens. They organised their own ‘litter picking party’ to clean up their local area. ♻️🗑️

Our Year 6s have been learning how to write informal letters, using punctuation lighten their tone of writing ✍️ Using inspiration from the book ‘The Windrush Child’ they wrote letters as Leonard to his father. Then, they published their work. What great teaching sequence @literacytree.bsky.social

Our Year 6s absolutely loved the @literacytree.bsky.social writing sequence “Can we save the tiger?” They wrote persuasive speeches to her peers, trying to convince their audience to act immediately and support the tigers, before it’s too late 🐅🐯
