22 April 1978, Bob Marley and the Wailers headlined the One Love Peace Concert in Kingston. It marked Marley's 1st appearance in Jamaica since surviving an assassination attempt. During the show, he famously joined the hands of rival political leaders Michael Manley & Edward Seaga to promote peace.

Sad to hear today of the death of Alan Osmond. During much of the Osmonds' career, Alan, being the oldest of the group, was the band's creative leader, playing piano & guitar, co-writing many of their songs with Merrill, co-producing most of their recordings & arranging the choreography. #AlanOsmond

GARY OLDMAN as Cary Grant from ‘North By Northwest’ for a photo project whereby Actors posed for a role they always dreamt of playing.

(It had to be self-deprecating, ironic, absurd, a bit twisted and kind of like a funny/bad dream take on the movie.)

Love it.

Born 19th April 1935, actor/comedian Dudley Moore. He starred in the film "10" which was considered a trendsetting film at the time & became one of 1979's biggest box-office hits. It follows a middle-aged man who becomes infatuated with a young woman he has never met. #DudleyMoore

Recording of "LA Woman" began soon after Jim Morrison's trial over an alleged indecent exposure incident during a Miami concert concluded with his conviction. Producer Paul Rothchild resigned from the project, reportedly over a clash with the band over the arrangement of Love Her Madly and the slow pace at which the group was coming up with new songs.
Engineer Bruce Botnick stepped in and co-produced the album with the band members. To save money and allow for the extra time to flesh out the songs, Botnick and the Doors turned the band's rehearsal space into a studio, with Morrison recording some vocals in a bathroom doorway.
The album got a much better reception than Soft Parade, cracking the top 10 on the Billboard album chart and remaining on it for most of the remaining weeks of the year. Three months after its release, Jim Morrison died in Paris.

The Doors released their 6th album on April 19, 1971.
"LA Woman" was the last before Jim Morrison's death that summer in Paris and was a strong indication of what a force the band would have continued to be had his life not gone off the rails.
