It took a bit of work, but I've managed to make a really cool typewriter-like effect for the text. Although its not entirely faithful to an actual console app, I think it looks nice and handles the delay between print statements better.

Getting into scripting again. I think the last time I used C# was actually in Unity 8 years ago. Before that though, I made a small console app that let users experiment with the Monty Hall Problem. Trying to remake a more advanced version.

Interesting idea! Although, why must the dinosaurs be "aggressive" to be creepy? Dinosaurs can be plenty unsettling without reducing them to movie monsters. That's part of their magic: that they were real. Check out some dinosaur analog horror for some really cool inspirations!

A comparison of file sizes before and after reducing texture quality. Old sizes are 100433KB, 53720KB, and 91014KB. New sizes are 93476KB, 46730KB, and 84057KB, respectively.
Went a bit overboard with the assets and the build sizes are nearly 100MB. Since I don't quite know how to optimize yet, some of the textures will be reduced for now. This reduced the file sizes by around 6% to 13%.

A screenshot of Unity Editor. The bottom panel shows numerous untextured materials.
Importing old models from the Unity Asset Store frustrates me with all the broken materials. There's almost certainly a better way to do this, but for now, I'm manually assigning the textures to the materials. #SmallGameStudio
Screenshot of Unity Editor. The scene depicts a street in a small suburban town. The bottom panel displays the imported assets.
Making a game with premade assets from the Unity Asset Store.
Most of it is gonna be made from this pack: assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/props/exterior/pandazole-city-town-lowpoly-pack-205787. Although, the selection of road tiles seems to be missing quite a few variants.

An intriguing story, but a bit of a slog to play through. The walk speed and large spaces make getting through levels very slow. The mouse also isn't constrained when moving the camera, which makes clicking the popup options awkward.

A nice, relaxing environment to play in. It seems a bit rough around the edges; most notably, a lot of geometry generates outside of the play area and the skybox has notable seams. There's a lot of potential here.

A very simple, very humorous game with a lovely art style. It's always interesting to see normal things deconstructed into absurdity. It really puts into perspective how much information gets aggregated as "normal".

I also find it fascinating that the wind and screaming are not present until the perspective shifts. It implies that the black hole isn't actually there and instead is a manifestation of the lecture's insecurities and imperfections. Also the black hole looks like a judgemental eye.

A compilation of dialogue screenshots from The Beginner's Guide. It reads: "And I’ll tell you, at the time I first played this game, shortly after he made it, here’s what I’m thinking to myself: I’m thinking that Coda’s stuck in his own head and that it’s having a very negative effect on him, and that all he needs to do is just start showing his work to people! To get some actual feedback on his games! It might get him out of isolation. As so, I’m thinking this, I realize that I could be the one to initiate it. Because it would never occur to Coda to start actively soliciting feedback, so what if I did it for him?"
This scene in The Beginner's Guide really stands out to me. Coda only shared his games to a select few people, if any at all. While positive feedback may be good, the idea of private work being shared without permission (even to trusted friends) seems like a very rude thing to do.

A screenshot of the Unity Editor. The viewport shows a simple scene consisting of a square cyan floor bordered by short red walls. A blue ball sits in the middle of eight yellow cubes floating in a diagonal orientation.
Getting back into Unity after 8 years. I've made a simple first-person demo using some premade assets. The demo stage is actually a recreation of the simple object-collecting game I made 8 years ago!

Hello everybody! This is the first time I'm active on social media, so I'm not really used to it. As an aspiring game developer, I know this kind of public interaction is a big part of development, so I hope to get better at it over time.
