The Ashes 2025: England needed to show 'fight' - Michael Vaughan England failed to show fight in the final session of the third day of the Ashes Test, said former captain Michael Vaughan.

A couple of ideas from a non-expert.....
To show more "fight,"
🤔 remove all sense of entitlement from the organisation and most of the press.
🤔 increase the gene pool by reintroducing cricket across all state schools.

Data centres are energy hungry but what if we could use their waste heat to heat our homes?

That's exactly what happens in places like Finland: Cities are tapping the vast amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, and feeding it into district-heating networks.

Thousands of job losses loom after chancellor's budget 'death sentence' for firms Tens of thousands of jobs could be lost in Norfolk and Suffolk due to tax rises in the chancellor Rachel Reeves' budget, experts have warned.

Disappointingly unbalanced "reporting" here. If Phillip Turner is so much against he and his company paying more to the community for services such as NHS, army, potholes etc, he should have the decency to suggest who should pay instead.

Not really surprising. The Government needs to use this to demonstrate the damage of Brexit to our defence as well as economy - and target disaffected but pro-defence Tory & Reform voters.

‘Call us rubbish’: Ben Stokes hits back at claims that England approach is ‘arrogant’ Captain rejects term used by former Ashes tormentor Mitchell Johnson as the tourists begin training with a pink Kookaburra ball in Brisbane

Self-delusional arrogance.....

“We didn’t have the Test match that we wanted to, but we were great in passages of that game"

If it was a school, the England Cricket Team, esp the leadership team, would be judged as requiring "urgent improvement."

The democratic system of the UK has a real problem:
The people will only vote for the fantasy that they can get the services they expect without paying the taxes to pay for them.

All parties therefore have to avoid the unelectable truth, and be condemned for dishonesty when elected.

95% of the problems faced by Labour are a result of 14 years of Tory incompetence and negligence.

Good, though uncomfortable truth, here.

Labour has a responsibility to gain a second term. It's when the most good can be done.

For the many.....

1 The uncomfortable truth is the people of our country are not as welcoming to "others" as you might imagine.

2 Govts in a democracy must govern by consent, which means not moving far away from majority views.

3 It would be irresponsible not to gain a vital 2nd term, when the most good can be done

Every time I hear a politician say that an issue is “dividing” this country they always then come down on the side of the right wing view of it. Just once I’d love to hear someone say “this issue is divisive, which is why I’m making the argument that kindness and compassion is important”

My photo shows a small pouring vessel carved in the shape of a duck from a single piece of clear rock crystal. The handle is formed from the duck’s gracefully curved neck and head which turns backwards towards the body of the vessel so that the beak rests on the rim of the bowl. The duck’s body forms the bowl of the vessel which is oval in shape and tapering inwards towards the tail which forms a pouring spout. Measurements: length 13.2 cm, height 4.2–4.7 cm.

This unique vessel was found in a female burial; Grave O, Grave Circle B, Mycenae, Greece, during the 1952-54 excavations. It was found in several pieces and has been reconstructed. On display at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens.

Luxurious duck-shaped vessel carved from a single piece of rock crystal around 3,500 years ago!

From Bronze Age Mycenae, it is said to be an exquisite example of imported Minoan stoneworking. Probably used to hold oils or cosmetics.

But what about our currently government? They are doing well, but are you talking about it and tell others?

Or just sitting back annoyed at all the detractors trying to bring the government down?

Climate change & global warming

Ed gives us reasons to be hopeful: that measures are working.

But there is much more to do - and Labour are doing just that here in the UK.

But more importantly they are aiming to be world leaders to get other countries to take the necessary steps as well.

The BBC may be an imperfect media organisation, but it's our imperfect media organisation.
As Licence Payers, British people will bitterly resent paying a single dime to any foreign power.
Time for a cross party approach to defend the BBC's future.
