Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas starring in a movie together in my birth month. Maybe good things do happen sometimes.

A split montage image of Charlotte Brontë: on the left, a vintage colorized portrait shows her seated in a dark Victorian dress with white lace collar, cuffs, and a red bow at the neck, her reddish-brown hair in a bun, holding a small brown book and gazing forward; on the right, a close-up of the title page of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë features a black enamel pin shaped like a woman’s profile silhouette filled with birds and branches, bearing the quote “I AM NO BIRD & NO NET ENSNARES ME,” with decorative leaf illustrations below.
English novelist and poet Charlotte Brontë was born #OTD in 1816.
Her novel, 𝘑𝘢𝘯𝘦 𝘌𝘺𝘳𝘦, was published in 1847 under the pseudonym Currer Bell. She is the eldest of the the three Brontë sisters whose novels became classics of English literature.

Somebody posted this on a Discord server I frequent. Possibly the most Edwardian feline gentleman I have ever seen.

But also, do you know what series got 11.1 million views in its first FIVE DAYS?
Maybe it’s time to #RenewTheAcolyte too.
Someone told me they thought Shoma Uno could be the next Daisuke Takahashi in ice dance and my response was, yeah I could see him dropping his partner multiple times. Niche Japanese ice dance joke there.
A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!
Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....

Being acutely aware of misogyny but also full of anxiety and completely lacking in self confidence is a combo that could drive anyone a little crazy.
Random lore about me is that I went to some of the same parties as Caroline Calloway but had no clue about any of her lore until like 5 years later.

Anne Hathaway bought the rights to a novel about a tradwife influencer who wakes up in 1855 and has to actually live the life she's been selling online. The book is called Yesteryear. It came out 3 days ago. The film rights were already sold to Hathaway, who will produce and star.
Holy shit, I have NEVER been more excited for a movie.
This close to buying a bathing suit that looks like Padme’s blue deleted scene dress.

Nothing says American capitalism like paying $7 for a luggage cart
Being in Ireland has really hit home for me how much I wish Scottish Independence had actually been a viable option and not something incredibly poorly managed.

Imagine a world where the Star Wars fans who didn't like The Acolyte said, oh well, some people seem to like it, Skeleton Crew then Andor Season 2 coming up. They're doing something for everyone. Not my bag but whatever? No, I can't imagine it either.
Acolyte fandom the best fandom
This is actually insane to me
I did in fact forget how annoying men can be on a train

I go to one titanic museum and suddenly I’m like give me all the books I want to read everything there is out there.
If I can enjoy Onward, boys should be able to enjoy Turning Red. Men’s stories are not the default in life, and fiction is one way to help us empathise with those who are different to us.
(Also, one of my red flags I’ve had for years is when dudes put Brave at the bottom of their Pixar tier lists.)
Literally climbing THE Blarney castle and I get a call from work asking me if I want to come in this morning.
