Digital Vaccine Record Get a digital copy of your vaccination record

Thanks for the information, but this site ( myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov ) doesn't seem to work for me, even after I disable the anti-pop-up feature. Has anyone been successful with this?

Two parts of my life have intersected in an odd and unusual way. In a previous post, I described the invasive yellow star thistle which has invaded our ranch. When I decided to attack it, I had become a "Thistle-Chaser", embodying her childhood war with the stinging plants. Strange co-incidence.

The ALT text has a mistake. Ratha's Challenge is #4, not #3.
Getting pooped. I even tried to fix it by going into the HTML, but couldn't find my text string. Not going to do it over.

Here's a cover image from one of my books. This is the Imaginator Press (Sheila Ruth) trade paperback edition of Ratha's Challenge, #4 of the series. Feedback please?

Close-up image of yellow star thistle, invasive non-native California plant. Leathery light-green stems with spiky yellow flowers that sit on top of a bulbous swelling, from which 1 to 3 inches. These are extremely sharp and hurt like hell, even through gloves. How did I do?

These plants are really nasty. They contain a chemical that can cause brain damage in horses, leading to death. They are also the top invasive non-natives in California, choking out natives such as wild California poppies. They can sting you right through gloves. Originally from Spain.

OK, I have turned on the ALT reminder and will re-post the yellow star thistle post with the ALT.

Whoo boy, I made some real goofs on the last posts, but am too tired to re-do them. Hubby kept me up until 5 in the morning. He had a bellyache from over-eating. I didn't wake up until 1 PM today. #Marriage

and brush around our home. Luckily that is winding down because fire season is ending soon. Another duty I have assumed is getting rid of #starthistles, which have invaded our property and can literally take over if not removed. These are the most non-native invasive plants here in California. 2/2

Hi BlueSky friends. I haven't been online much, due to several ongoing essential projects. One is sealing the roof of our home before the rains start, so that the kitchen doesn't become a swimming pool, as it did last year. Another is preparing for fire season by clearing dry grass and 1/2

Cheetahs are also capable of rasping growls, howling, yowling, snarling, hissing, yapping, screeching, and other loud sounds. Cheetahs are not Panthera, as are lions, tigers leopards, and other big cats, but they can still make a respectable racket, without the Panthera's hyoid (roaring) bone.

Some of the F1 generation Bengals (asian leopard cat cross with domestic) chewed their owner's shoes. Hopefully he doesn't do that!

I'm glad puss is feeling better. Is he a Bengal?

Hi, CREW! Good to see you here! Good work, thank you.

@tetzoo.bsky.social This single fossil preserves only the head and neck. The restoration of D. crassus as a cheetah-like pursuit predator is based only on skull features, i.e broad skull, enlarged nasal area. Do you know of any other D. crassus fossils? Do you think it was cheetah-like? 2/2

@tetzoo.bsky.social Hi Darren. Got a question for you. I write a fiction series about intelligent prehistoric big cats (The Named or Ratha series). They are based on Dinaelurus crassus, the supposedly cheetah-like nimravid. Only one fossil has been found in the John Day Formation. 1/2

Oh hi Cat! ๐Ÿงช Gearing up for this year's Snapshot USA where I add Yosemite to the list of sites I am going to deploy camera traps in. Really really excited about that! The overall sites are Yosemite, Carrizo Plains and Sierra Foothills. It's gonna be fun!
