Collection About - DESCRIPTION This is a collection of music from unsigned artists who utilized Myspace and/or Pure Volume as their main platform. A majority of the music found here is Metal, Emo, Punk or Alternative. MISSION STATEMENT: In 2018, MySpace lost over a decade's worth of music uploaded by unsigned bands and solo artists. This loss was blamed on corrupted data during a server transfer gone awry, and it is theorized this may have been intentional so as to free up server space and cut costs to keep the website afloat. This was an absolutely tragic loss for the history of music and art. What this project aims to do is create an archive for any and every shred of Metal, Emo, and Alternative style music from between 2001 and 2012 that can be recovered. This time frame was considered to be the "wild west" for metal emo and alternative bands, with many gaining national fandom just by uploading a single 3 or 4 song demo to the website. We are searching every nook and cranny of the internet to find these pieces of musical art that would otherwise be forever lost to time and the black hole the Internet has become. No song too short, and no artist too obscure. Things we are not archiving: Anything that belongs to a still active Record Label, or that are still actively for sale in their original un-altered format (via Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon Music, or any other digital platform). We do not wish to create any issues where copyright may be at play.

40 thousand is a lot of hammers
The Mandelbrot set is self similar, so zooming in, you can see plenty of tiny copies of itself.
One of the bulbs sprouting from the edges of the main set. The feathery veins remind me of roots. And you can see 8(??) mini Mandelbrots growing in the veins.
The smaller bulbs increasingly resemble anemones, and you can see many smaller copies growing in between each one.
The main bulb of the set has a long tail with smaller bulbs interspersed along it's length.
Spent the holidays learning about #shaders!
It was surprisingly EASY to implement this #mandelbrot shader, and slap together a simple palette reader and screenshot feature.

Adam Baldwin was literally *the* guy who named GamerGate and made it go viral. It was just some loser 4chan/incel YouTuber shit before then. They spammed him to get his attention because they knew he’s also a psycho loser and they wanted to make it go viral, and he did it. And it worked.
