Cosplay wise, three events in a row all went well! I love getting to teach and judge competitions and see the next generation of cosplayers grow.
Work wise: got to speak on the main stage at North America’s biggest 3D printing conference last week. Pretty cool. 💖
We love Miko in this house!!
A cosplayer portraying Yae Miko from Genshin Impact cradles a pink umbrella, as she wistfully stares off into the distance, and is surrounded by a sea of pink flowers in bloom.
The flowers are in full bloom downtown and it’s so lovely 💖
I love Boston in spring when the weather finally gets warm/dry!

I’m so glad we got to hang out!! 💖💖💖
You’re likely spot on about why people don’t gravitate towards it — a shame because it’s so lovely! (It does wrinkle when you look at it wrong though 😂)
It’s pretty thin so honestly, great!
Love this tip!
I'll also throw in Rayon Challis for the dress -- if you want that anime flow, it's super drapey and has gorgeous movement if you give it enough volume! (My Qifrey tunic is this!)

A cosplayer portraying Xiaolan from The Apothecary Diaries skips through a flowering garden in the direction of the camera. She’s giddy!
Shortly after AB Natsu Hyūga (the series’ author) followed me on twitter and I looked about as overwhelmingly overjoyed in that moment as I did in this photo 😂
Xiaolan = Me!

Hey #witchhatatelier fans!
Did you, like me, want to cosplay Qifrey the second you saw him? I’ve got a few tips that’ll make your research & construction easier, since I’ve made 2 variants of this lil’ guy!

Yeah that’s fine! Just give it a good wipe with another disposable cloth after (eg like a dry paper towel).
and regular soap after.
Please please please stay safe! Some of my colleagues from the past despite using good PPE still made enough resin contact that sensitization happened to them, and it totally sucks — I don’t want to see that happen to you!
Proper PPE is always always gloves when handling uncured resin, and respiratory protection when sanding.
If you do need to wash your hands, get some Gojo (the abrasives in it help scrub stickiness away!) and use cold water first so you don’t widen your pores, then go again with warmer (continued)
be absorbed through your skin. Your body will not recognize photopolymer monomers, and you can eventually develop “sensitivity” to the material (breaking out in hives, rashes, or even respiratory issues that will begin to flare up with ANY future contact w/the resin once it starts).

Hey there! I worked in Materials R&D for photopolymers for 3D printing / UV resins for 4 years.
Cassie is 100% correct about the IPA breaking down the resins into monomers, and you do NOT want to “wash” w/ IPA first.
The reason that’s dangerous is that the monomers are small enough to (continued)
Also, those last two panels are BACK TO BACK, in the SAME ROOM -- come hang out and chat with us in the clear time between LOL
2nd panel is BRAND NEW -- a tag-team with @wingedstitches.bsky.social & @cosplay.tory (IG)!

Here's my cosplay lineup!
Friday = Xiaolan for our lil' Apothecary Diaries shoot w/ @ceryhind (IG) & @yayahan.bsky.social !
Saturday = Qifrey with @cosplay.tory (IG)

(Details ⬇️!)
It's almost time for @animeboston.bsky.social -- so here's my convention thread, kicking off with my set of events I'm running at AB this weekend!
The shape of the rounded one was kind of a nightmare to paint with the alcohol inks (and I REALLY wanted the pearlescent effect) — amazing how some subtle geometry changes made this look WAY BETTER and be WAY SIMPLER to paint!
I’m so glad to hear that! 💖
GORGEOUSSSSS
This is one of my fav panels to run and it's highly interactive -- plus I usually hang around outside and you've got full permission to talk to me about how you designed your OCs!
Tell me about your RPG brainchildren!!!

I’ve seen this becoming more and more common at cons! Especially if they’ve got voice actors involved in panels or other programming, it lets folks know when they’ll be around.
