"Blackberry fields" - Irene Zorzan and Teresa Rayon's image of human embryo-like structures derived from human embryonic stem cells (blastoids) that form balls of cells with an inside cavity that look very much like blackberries. Blue marks all nuclei of the structure, the green label marks the cells that will generate the embryo proper (Nanog), and the pink label is a readout of a ribosomal protein (pS6).

An image that looks like a galaxy. The spleen is an organ of the lymphatic system that plays an important role in the immune system. In this video, multiple markers were used to characterize the structure of the germinal centres in the spleen. 25 different cellular markers were targeted including B cells, T cells, plasma cells, fibroblasts, macrophages, stromal cells, granulocytes, red blood cells and dendritic cells. Images were taken by using the ultra-high content MACSima imaging platform at the Imaging Facility by Isabel

We love that #MicroscopyMonday is still a thing! Let us introduce our Imaging facility team, led by @smonw.bsky.social, together they make these beautiful images possible! 👇 Here are our favourite images but can you match them to our research programmes - #Epigenetics, #Immunology and #Signalling ?🧪
