Parrots in general are my favourite birds, with Bourke's parrots my favourite parrot by a narrow margin. Lorrikeets in general are my least favourite parrots: loud, messy, gaudy and so bitey.

A faint but pretty #AuroraAustralis photographed early last Sunday morning in the Perth Hills

#Comet C/2024 G3 Atlas (or at least its tail) is still visible here in the #southernhemisphere. Clearly seen by eye and spectacular with binoculars I enjoyed photographing it over a #saltlake in the WA wheatbelt.

I managed to photograph the Jan 1st #AuroraAustralis in Cape Range National Park, near Exmouth, Western Australia. This is 22 deg north, but has beautiful #darkskies.
