Portrait of Mikaela Iacobelli, an associate professor, smiling at the camera. She has shoulder-length light brown hair and is wearing small stud earrings and a navy blue top. The background behind her is a soft light blue. The overall graphic features a slate-blue backdrop with the “HMS – Her Maths Story” logo centered at the top. Her headshot is framed in the middle, and below it, on a torn-paper style white overlay, her name “Mikaela Iacobelli” appears in large black text, with “Associate Professor” written underneath in smaller capital letters.

If you’ve never heard of Abigail Thorn before, I’m so excited that I get to tell you about her. She’s a brilliant and talented woman who gives the world incredible videos about important topics. Some say this is her magnum opus, but everything she makes is so good I can’t pick a single favorite

I am a scientist, I don’t use products that generate text (“suggestions”) for me, like Grammerly, ChatGPT, Claude, etc. and I think none of these products should be anywhere near academic writing. It is not as hard as you want to make it seem. We can write our own texts.

#IchBinHanna
