i ended up configuring keybindings to something similar to what spacemacs does, but with some differences to be closer to what i like, and tbh it was pretty simple

evil-mode, which-key, magit, evil-surround, and lsp-mode (and other language modes). i decided to replace helm et al with consult/marginalia/orderless, and im quite happy with them, they seem nice. im using company but im about to give corfu a try

it's so easy to set up the 10 things i like how i like them, and now i both understand my config and emacs loads in less than half a second what the helly
