Decided to dive into network engineering/devops. I've replaced my old reliable TP-Link router with MikroTik. Wifi is slightly worse and I've already had to reset the router twice. Setting up wifi for IoT was kind of an adventure.

The big thing for me is modes though. Full-color setup during the day, and a minimal red-only clock at night so it doesn’t light up the room.

Built two simple AWTRIX apps using Home Assistant + Node-RED. Also added basic day/night profile management.

Not complicated, but it’s exactly the kind of configuration you want to set once and never touch again.
