What I did not know, when I went to the post office yesterday without a car, is that it weighs OVER TEN KILOS! I had to take it on the bus and walk almost a kilometre home carrying it yesterday. Damn thing better be worth that effort!

The LEGO Venusaur, Charizard & Blastoise set got delivered to my PO Box yesterday! I won’t be opening it and putting it together until we move into the new house in a month or so, so I guess it’ll be our housewarming present to ourselves.

I’m also wondering if perhaps the fatal incident at the Mega Tokyo Pokémon Center late last month is affecting their announcement and release schedules. That would be understandable.

Well… Easter is over and still no 2026 Easter/spring Pokémon Center merch line.

I guess they want to focus on pushing the 30th Anniversary merchandise instead.

I really do miss collecting sets, and as tempting as it is to start up again, I know I’d only be satisfied if I could master every set, and that’s unfortunately an unrealistic goal. But I’ll definitely be attending prereleases just for the fun of it going forward. Can’t wait for Chaos Rising!

I forgot to mention, but I went to a Perfect Order prerelease a couple of weeks back, and it was so fun! I didn’t realise how much I missed attending these - the last one I went to before this was XY—BREAKpoint, and that was ten years ago!

I know they’re focussing on 30th Anniversary merch, but they usually announce Easter stuff pretty early, sometimes even in January, so it’s weird that they haven’t shown anything yet.

Easter is in two weeks and I don’t think the Pokémon Center has revealed this year’s Easter merch line yet. Should I be panicking? Because I’m panicking.

Rock It Games’ decision to send emails advertising pre-orders for their new release when they haven’t yet started fulfilling Croc pre-orders from October 2024 is certainly… interesting.

At first I was a bit disappointed by the recent Pokémon Presents due to the main headliner being leaked months ago, but the more I see about Winds and Waves, the more excited I am for them. Hopefully the end up looking as great at the trailer made them out to be.

Oooh yes! Zacian and Zamazenta have some of the best shiny palettes and I think they’d make great Gold Star cards!

(I also think they’d make a great paired LEGEND card from the HGSS era!)

Merchandise is doing a lot of heavy lifting for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. I actually found that Pokémon Presents a little disappointing, considering it was celebrating such a big milestone.

The only new game announcement was spoiled by leaks months ago…
