It's tied with Bomberman Hero (N64) for me. My child self used to love both. xD

Both were cool, cozy B-tier platformers with cute level design and amazing soundtracks. But... very different in how they handle.

Agreed. While the SNES compression is technically a “flaw” it does add something in terms of the aesthetic. I encountered the same feeling when I saw some “redone” DKC tracks in better quality. Sometimes less is more.
