I think I have 7 or 8 of the same trivet in different colors. 😂

A purple sunflower trivet with three purple k-cups surrounding the top side. Two are used, one isn’t. On a green granite countertop.

My (minimum) daily three pod habit. The lonely espresso pod is about to get some love. Bonus purple points for the sunflower trivet! 💜
Great pictures! Nice that you can view their activities without disrupting them.

Yes!
As a youngster, I remember seeing this on grandma’s bedroom wall. I wish I could find and contact the Jensen estate to learn more about the piece and how my family purchased it.
I always find myself touching and following the brush strokes!
Weird isn’t it? I know they avoid nesting areas that have Bald Eagles in close proximity.
Thank you!
Pink and red pedal roses in a black vase. The oriental type vase has blue spots background with additional flowers painted in the spot area. One rose is resting on a table cloth underneath the vase. The background is a mixture of white gray gold with green. Heavy brush strokes add wonderful texture to the painting. The framing is golden brown.

This oil on canvas with original frame is from Seattle artist Dorothy Dolph Jensen. Dorothy was a founding member of the Women Painters of Washington in 1930. This untitled piece has been in our family since 1934.
There’s some window glare on the right side.
Isn’t that cool! During nesting season they can get easily spooked and abandon the nesting site.
💚
Are you sure that's not an automaton on stage?
That’s why I’m conflicted, ack!
I’m glad it’s you and not an imposter! 💚📸
A tornado touchdown on Puget Sound. Dark and rainy sky with the Seattle skyline in the background. Picture from Reddit.
Ugh! Be safe and keep an eye on those skies. 😬
We had a Tornadic waterspout crossing Puget Sound on Wednesday. The tornado dissipated before it came ashore in Seattle. Extremely rare event for Puget Sound!
Same. My interest in posting and following is waning. I wonder if other social sites are messing with BS or BS doesn't have the architecture to keep this from happening. Maybe both?
Thanks Lora. I wanted to verify if @danrange.bsky.social was his new account. It's getting harder to trust bluesky, so much junk and accounts being compromised.
@rangedan.bsky.social has your account been stolen?
Amazing! Thanks for sharing such a rare Puget Sound event.
What a spectacular transformation! Love the color and that mirror finish. 😍
30 seconds of Mason Bee Zen. When I need a mental break, I watch the bees and relax.
The screen keeps Woodpeckers from munching the bees including the developing larvae inside the tubes. The iridescent color tape helps the females find their individual nesting tube. 🐝

They rarely visit our yard as they pass through our neighborhood a couple times in the spring and late summer. We nicknamed them the ‘lightning bolts’ birds.
I love those beautiful and noisy birds! Did they show up in a flock?

Thank you for the repost. Hope your day is beeutiful!
We are finally having signs of spring with afternoon temps above 55 degrees, time to let the bees warm up and wake up (take them out of the cooler) and find some spring flowers to visit! I release a few everyday to stretch out the pollen season based on the temps and blossoms.
Cool! It seems both varieties will allow each other to visit the same feeder at dusk, same at my feeders too.
Dooooo it! Lots of info on the web to peruse at your leisure.
It’s a fun hobby and no stings!
Inside a white lid, 16 empty Mason bee cocoons each with a single chewed hole from the inside out. The cocoons are tan colored on the outside and root beer color on the inside. The larger size cocoons are female and the smaller ones are male.
Mason Bee cocoon openings after chewing their way to freedom - and soon to be pollinating trees and plants in our yard and neighborhood. 🐝
