Photo shows a stylish classic black Rolls Royce luxury car in front of one of the gates to Angkor Thom, Angkor Park, Siem Reap. The gate is in Angkor Thom style, meaning t has the base design like the towers in Bayon Khmer style, but with the stone faces of the Bayon temple. They are probably the face of the king Jayavarman VII. In front of it is a classic black Rolls Royce luxury car of the 1950s. Register number 2AI-4633, The black RR matches the classic architecture of the Khmer imperial gate in brownish-red stone with a blue background. The detailed stonework with elephant heads in support and the four face royal head of king Jayavarman VII the Great on top of the gate are distinct qualities of the Khmer art and architecture 850 years ago. On both sides of the gate the ring wall of Angkor Thom continues into the trees and forest with a deep green colour of the foliage. The gate itself is very clean and newly maintained, and the red laterite stone is very visible red and warm yellow in the raising sun. The sky is mostly cobalt blue with lightly traces of clouds. Photo shows the remains of a Khmer temple tower. It has a platform with stairs lead up from a stone laden causeway. On top of the platform there is a gate in a ground floor wall. It leads into a room with an altar and small guard statues. The three other walls are partly fallen down. The top of the temple tower is lost. The temple is made of red laterite stone. It was once probably three towers in this 1100 year old temple, but to the north of this there are some remains of a platform and gate lintel. The third tower is probably long gone. Around the platform there are remains of a Yoni basin, and some stone art. The open area is covered by dirt and fallen leaves, and is flanked by green forest. In the background the main road between Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom is visible. Cambodia is as safe, comfortable and kind as ever. This small temple is by the main road between Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.

It is significant because it gives a good idea of how these early temples was build into the Angkor structure.

Phnom Krom is one of three main hills framing Angkor.

The hill is great for both sunset and sunrise views over Tonle Sap.
