Photo shows the remains of a Khmer temple tower. It has a platform with stairs lead up from a stone laden causeway. On top of the platform there is a gate in a ground floor wall. It leads into a room with an altar and small guard statues. The three other walls are partly fallen down. The top of the temple tower is lost. The temple is made of red laterite stone. It was once probably three towers in this 1100 year old temple, but to the north of this there are some remains of a platform and gate lintel. The third tower is probably long gone. Around the platform there are remains of a Yoni basin, and some stone art. The open area is covered by dirt and fallen leaves, and is flanked by green forest. In the background the main road between Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom is visible. Cambodia is as safe, comfortable and kind as ever. Angkor and Siem Reap warmly welcomes visitors as the home of several cultural world heritage sites and good food.

A midway surprise Prasat Rorng Ramong

This small temple is by the main road between Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.

It is significant because it gives a good idea of how these early temples was build into the Angkor structure.
