Thank you for the update. Was thinking about y'all. It's so difficult to be in that situation. Gentle care for yourselves, too.

A Nerf blaster toy

I know she says it as an insult, but I have to remind myself Leia isn't talking about this:

Han Solo absolutely named Chewy, right? Linguistically, that would make sense.

I'm no Imelda Marcos, but I'd bet my shoes that Wookie is a tonal language.

Omg these artist's designs are/are gonna be real clothes! Silly I didn't realize at first.

I may have to get bolder about what I wear for real.

Yarn bombing is where knitted or crocheted yarn—rather than paint—adorns public objects like poles, and benches. Also known as "guerrilla knitting,", it is a street art originally started by women #Womensart

A THREAD. Which I have decided to call 'Reasons Why Owls Are Excellent'.

I've told this story before, but when I was in the art college I was considered borderline hopeless when it came to colors - by teachers, classmates and myself. Like, my drawing skills were relatively good, but painting - oh, I was terrible at this.
The teacher tried to tell me "just feel the color" and make me see, but I just couldn't no matter how hard I tried.

Anyway all it took to fix my problem was a 10 min long video on color theory.
Yes. That's it.
I think it could be a different video or maybe a book, the point is, that I really needed to comprehend it and not just acquire the skill while practicing.

Now the "just feel it"-approach works fine for me. Like, I don't paint with the thought "hey, need some complementary colors here", I just go with what works.
But in order to be able to do it I needed to understand it first.

If you are dead stuck with something and can't get better despite trying it's likely not you being "talentless", but the method of studying not working for you.

Hi all, its your friendly neighborhood retired therapist here to remind you that the horrors persist and so do we!

Have you:
-had a glass of water or something liquid that is not caffeinated recently?
-used any calming or grounding techniques you like?
-eaten a food?

If not, do that now. 💜

I suspect what I see isn't entirely accurate, but part of me is thinking now I just want to wear medieval-lite style dresses. As long as they have pockets.
