And his whole family despises him. A family who stood by Ted Kennedy after Chappaquiddick and William Kennedy Smith during his tape trial think this dude is a horrible person and all around lost cause.

There’s renewable energy ads and there’s mother**cking wind farm ads. This, blissfully, is the latter.

George Carlin trying to warn us when we could have done something about it. Sorry we disappointed you, George. Americans just like their profits way too much.

"Keep in mind, the news media are not independent; they are a sort of bulletin board and public relations firm for the ruling class-the people who run things. Those who decide what news you will or will not hear are paid by, and tolerated purely at the whim of, those who hold economic power. If the parent corporation doesn't want you to know something, it won't be on the news. Period. Or, at the very least, it will be slanted to suit them, and then rarely followed up."

If you’ve got a badge and a gun but think your actions are shameful enough to need a mask, you should quit.

Things that don’t work well together, part 379: Cowboy hats (or any wide-brimmed hat, really) and crossbody bags (unless you intend to never remove your bag for the entire time you have your hat on). Ask me how I know this, right now.

Something like this happened to my former next-door neighbor. U.S. Marshalls came and broke in, looking for a fugitive that had the same name. My neighbor was a public transit cop - he wasn’t home during the raid. They found his badge and service weapon. They were mortified.

New wild, wild West Park moment unlocked! We’re on our front porch and heard a coyote howling! It sounded like it was near the Rapid station.

I know they’re here - they’re everywhere- but in all our years of outdoor, nighttime hangs we’ve never heard one, and certainly not in such close proximity!

Ohio Supreme Court: 'Non-toxic' gas killed security guard The Ohio Supreme Court ruling means the security guard’s widow loses millions. The case marks a win for the major industrial employer.

Ohio politics continue to be a flaming trash heap. If your employer’s negligence kills you, our Supreme Court will twist words into a bag of pretzels to ensure that the corporation gets off the hook and your grieving family gets no compensation.

Heya #birdsky! Anyone familiar with Southwest Ohio here? Taking a trip to Portsmouth next week, and planning to bird Shawnee State Park/Forest and Edge of Appalachia Preserve. Any particular trails or areas that are songbird hotspots?

To that end, I proposed a blog post about urban birding in CLE to our content team, and they were down! To my knowledge, this is the first and only time our website has featured any birding-specific info. I hope it won’t be the last. Here’s my guide to being an urban bird nerd in The Land.

Our big marketing push, this year, is hype up Cleveland as an outdoor recreation destination - to emphasize Lake Erie, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and Cleveland Metroparks and all the ways residents and visitors can connect with nature and enjoy themselves outside.

My job at Destination Cleveland is in Visitor Services, helping folks research and navigate their trips to our wonderful city. But, because our efforts to promote Cleveland are so far-flung and multifaceted, I’m taking advantage of additional opportunities to use my talents.

Her number is listed as “anonymous,” and she always hangs up immediately after making her statement.

I just want this lady to know that: He might be from here, but we don’t like him; we don’t claim him, and we sure as shit didn’t vote for him.

I work at the convention and visitors bureau for Cleveland.

Since the election, about once every 1-3 weeks I answer a phone call from a woman who says, “Bernie Moreno sucks, and I will never visit Cleveland as long as he’s in office.”🧵
