Screenshot of tweet from the ARC saying they will announce DP26 outcomes on Tuesday 28th Oct, and LP25r1 outcomes on Wednesday 29th.
ARC says Discovery Projects outcomes will be tomorrow (Tuesday). Linkage Projects (2025, round 1) on Wed. Over past ~year, it's often been at about 11am (Canberra).
My bot will pick up the change to RMS & post immediately.
ARC should email outcomes to lead CIs, but might take an 1hr or so for DPs
UPDATE: The 2025-2026 list of faculty and postdoc positions in ecology and evolutionary biology is out! Be sure to check out this active and helpful community run resources! docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Monitor lizards, also known in Australia as goannas, are some of the most iconic reptiles on the continent. In our new study, we looked beneath their skin with cutting-edge imaging techniques โ and we may just have found the key to their evolutionary success. youtu.be/RfOK2wWYjLo

No update from ARC about ongoing Linkage Projects & Laureate Fellowships delays.
On 29th May, ARC told @jsresearchpro.bsky.social they couldnโt "provide further detailโ๐
Remember, they told us to wait for an update a month ago. Nothing since.
Seems so out of touch. Just explain what's happening!
Many elongate species show a positive correlation between body size & number of vertebrae (pleomerism), but some groups lack it entirely, the reason for which we don't yet understand. Snakes, being long, are good model species for investigating this...a ๐งต(1/3) ๐งช๐๐

Hi Australian Researchers. I have a plan. Let's thank the amazing @arc-tracker.bsky.social for a decade of selfless work by nominating them for a Eureka Prize (Leadership in science). Are you with me? If so, repost this. Please also reply and state your support for this quest. We can do this people.
Out now in @nature.com! Our comprehensive meta-analysis of global terrestrial and marine genetic diversity demonstrates rapid loss of genetic diversity and identifies conservation interventions that could mitigate this process

I made this over the break. Why would I do such a thing? Am I some sort of #phylogenetics dork? Well... yes, but that's not why. To fully explain I'll have to do one of those sewing-strings-wrapped-around-a-spool dealies. 1/ ๐งช
